Who's Jigging Delmarva

The fish are here and I'm finally gearing up to go but so far I'm only seeing trolling reports. Has anyone here been jigging them?

I'm new to the jigging game and looking to get started.

About jigging: It is not going to happen as the tuna are not bunched up enough to jig unless you run and gun all over a million lumps trying to find them in numbers. I have run a number of trip lately and they I have not seen them like we do when the jig bite is effective. Best bet now would be to troll and when you run over some drop your figs. All last July there was not much to the jig bite compared to other previous July's as it was all mostly trolling and again this was radically different than in 2008 when we chunked them all the time in July.

There are much bigger BFT well over 125 lbs which are probably too big to keep but they are in deeper water around the 40 fathom line way more north than where 99% of the boats are now fishing for the 40-50 lb ones.

Hope all is well but I honetly think we need more tuna before jigging becomes effective

we where marking them sunday.Only 2 trolling bites so next time im bringing out the jig when we mark them.
