Just as a FYI, I tried some of the Kevlar Parachute cord I got from a model Rocket site. It sucked! It was basically 3 or 4 strands twisted together and kept fraying and untwisting while jigging, even with no fish! I got my 500# red stuff from APS when they were still around. I tried to save some $$$ by getting the cheaper stuff and it was horrible. Buy the good stuff!

Here it is, with 500lb hollow core kevlar. The stuff i normally use is in my jig bag in the boat, its substantially stiffer and i believe its 700lb.

Of the 2 different snell's, the uni is the one i would have 100% confidence in. Ofcourse the standard is still the overhand knot and its well proven, also what i always use in hooks i make myself.
