I have a cabo80 on a trevala 80-200 and it fits fine. Take the reel into the tackle shop and try it on some of the heavier rods until you get one that fits.
When you get some extra money go and get you one of these custom rods. Paul made me one and it is great. It is worth every cent and then some.
Warning, jigging is habbit forming and loads of fun.
I know its addictive! I think i had gone like 4 times using my cousins trevala with a stradic 8000 and i said, forget it...i need one of these things....i found the quantum for $174 with shipping on ebay.

This is the one I have and it works fine. You might try the Quantum rod or the Okuma rod as well. Both should fit into your budget just fine. As for your reel, check the screw that holds the bail to the reel. Mine came loose on the second trip. Got lucky and it fell into the boat so I was able to fix it right then. No problems with it since then, but I keep an eye on it.
Good luck and tight lines.

Don't forget about the Daiwa's. One of the best buys out there in my opinion. $129.

This is Pete using one of mine, matched with an Expedition.
Sorry, I didn't mean to leave it (Diawa) out. Jim is right, it is as good if not better than the trevala rods IMHO.
Also if you need jigs try some of Eastern Tackle jigs. They are best bang for buck and that is not just my opinion.
First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who reply to post their opinions. I think Im getting the Trevala 65-200,since its my first jigging rod, I want to take advantage of the shimano warranty, may be later on might stick with the same reel and upgrade to a custom rod. The first times I went jigging I used Williamson jigs which are $12.00@, seems pretty good price for me, quality is very good and are also very productive.
I have a Fin-Nor Offshore 65 on a Hopper Jogging rod. I like the rod and reel but the bottom part of the reel seat works itself loose while fighting a fish. Any ideas on keeping this tight?
