Luckily for us viewers, I found the video that was taken right before the rod was lost showing the actual cause of the tragic loss.

first of all i would rather lose my stella then be bear hugged by another man while trying to catch a 20lb AJ LOL... second of all, what the hell was that guy with the rod doing to the left of the guy trying to land his fish? I mean, was he trying to cut him off on purpose? LOL.

Gal, I wondered the same thing. Was he trying to catch the fish they already had hooked?

Hey I wear gloves..not crocs though...haha... as for that squid, must be an israeli thing, I caught a 50lber in Loreto... much bigger than that one...those giant Humboldts will snap tuna rods in half ..
