Arlen and I along with Robert and Kyle headed to the break in "bigger than forecasted, but not too bad" seas. Found warmer water near some ledges, and after no luck trolling plugs and being bored, decided to start jigging. First drop resulted in a very nice blackfin tuna, along with two scamp groupers. Subsequent drifts consisted of numerous ajs, along with about 8 total groupers, including a 40 inch gag. Another blackfin tuna got sharked and after 40 min, we had a 12 foot shark by the boat. Biggest aj of the day went to Chip, about 60 in fork length. I should have landed a big girl, but upon hooking her with a amj 54h and 35 lbs of drag, i could not lift the rod off the gunnel until I broke off.
