    Diawa Saltiga deal....

Here's one I've been eyeing on Ebay, it's a fair deal and in good shape. I'm one reel purchase away from being put back in the doghouse. It looks like it might work for you and your budget.

On the 300 end, I would go with a saltist (upgrade the drag at smoothdrag.com) and put it on a trevala. Remember you braid will cost you $40 or 50 also.

Up toward the 500 end, you could upgrade to a saltiga and still use your trevala, or you could keep the saltist and get a custom rod.

I have the saltigas (used them yesterday) and love them.

Also the saltiga jigging rods are a little stiffer than the trevala and in the same price range and warranty, but that is a personal preference. The trevala is more parabolic.

    Does this help any?
