    want to start jigging

I want to start jigging. So I need to get some tackle I will be going for tog and grouper and the reels I have would be a 9/0,sealine 30 sha,tld star, and a capircorn baitcaster. Would any of them work if so what rod I know that shimano makes some nice ones and bass pro makes them as well as penn.

You can not mix togging setup and grouper setup as stout rod and heavy drag reel are required for grouper jigging.

    There is no secret.
We didn't kill them, but we caught more quality groupers than on the last week trip. The gag grouper I am holing is around 20 lbs. I used St Croix 7;6" custom rod with Saltiga 40 filled with 80 lbs braided line/120 lbs leader line. The choice of jig was 6 oz Norway Solvkroken Viking jig.

you can use the same setup for togs as you do for grouper but for most people it would be overkill. most people only catch small tautog (under 10 lb) so using a big setup would be silly. when i fish areas where there are big togs (over 15 lbs) i use the same gear that i catch grouper with. the principle is the same - u have to get the fish out of the structure before they break u off.

we had togging setups with calcutta 400TE on the NC trip this year. also had a few tuna jigging setups.

caught tiles, and i caught a 21# snowy grouper.
    used a 450g Jig.

but the togging rod has also caught tuna on the hookedup2
