i like to use a fluorocarbon leader with a uni knot connected to braid, it holds and it also eliminates all the terminal tackle because you can connect the fluorocarbon directly to the jig which i think puts you in more control of the fish when you get it near the boat

good vid jim. i started using my own windons, and im gettin faster/more efficient in making them, and after using them, its hard to go back to knots going through the guides on conv deep jig setups.

Best Catch: The next bite on a jig.
This knot method has been found to be not good by two different people in testing. Sorry for posting it without testing it, but it appeared to be good.

Great video Jim. The knot you showed is the knot you use regardless of species?

Thats right. A regular uni, no half hitches. Then I add the square knot. I'm confident it in. I can't stress enough for people to spend a night figuring out what is right for them.

Jim,

If I understood your vid right, you lock the bimini by doing a half hitch to one of the bimini strands and then a uni on both strands followed by a square not. Correct?

Do you think the knot that Curtis showed failed in the tests you refered to because of the reverse albright maybe not being pulled even? The glue on the fluoro, all the half hitches or what?
