    Van Staal Jigging Rods

What do you all have to say about them? Good, the bad, I want to hear it all...

I was personally looking into either the:
    VJS56-270 Spinning 5'6" 30-50#/PE3 270 Gram

    or

    VJS60-225 Spinning 6'0" 50-80#/PE5 225 Gram

    I appreciate all your help!

I fished the VJS60 last year on Stellwagon for bft and caught fish to 125ish with it. I liked the rod lot and had some good success with it. If you like parabolic rods you will love it as it bends all the way through to the gimbal.

Here is a picture of the bend

With the 6' length I also did a little light casting with it too, though it was obviously not built for this.

My personal opinion is that it is a step up from the trevala. I upgraded for this coming year with the hopes that the fish will have classed up though. If you decide to go with the VJS60 and are trying to save some dough let me know as I could part with mine now that I've moved up.

Let me know if you have any questions,

    Shoe

Yeah, I took shoe's rod off his hands, and its a sturdy rod, got some flex to it but is still strong. Two weeks from now, im gunna be smackin' a few grouper with it down in Largo and Islamorada.
