"Unusual" Jigging Style
This short video shows what I would consider to be an unusual or unconventional jigging style for me anyway. I just thought I would share it as food for thought, since there are days when the fish respond to dead jigs, long strokes, short slow, short fast, crank quickly then pause.
This shows a single long, then pause on the reel down.

Thats a very popular style of jigging when working the bottom or through the water colume..It's a form of YO-YO jigging or as Glenn said Long Stroking.
You should see the guys ripping jigs on the surface on the Long Range Trips to Mexico, I use to love it when I worked on those boats.. |

Can anyone give me some Japanese translations of common jigging terms? I think smoking a big fish would be even cooler if I could grunt and shout in Japanese while doing it...that and wearing a KOOL JIGRZ T-shirt! I'm very serious about the Japanese part... - Cassidy |

Cassidy,
You need to check out a place called Chequers Seafood Grill at Perimeter. Just had one of the top five grilled seafood dinners of my whole life. The festivus logo (Kool J's) the logo for the rest of us, will be undergoing some changes. I got about 5 good ideas today. And there will be shirts.
