These have been popular fishing cape cod this year.

we use a 7' calstar and extend the blank for a little more casting range with poppers.
some nice size fish have been caught with these.
they throw all the poppers used up there.

Why not use a 800h or 800m and cut the butt down if you do not want a 8' rod. I own many calstar GF 700l, 700m, 700h, 800m, and 800h. Personally I like the 700m the most for bait but I love to throw either of the 8' rods.
