Paul, most japanese rods break down at the butt section. I saw that Kil picked up a new OTI 8.5 ft rod. Looks good and would be another great option for casting to tuna

yep..there are a few new OTI models comming in a longer size for popping ,,like the 8'6"

I cant tell you the price but I can tell you the blanks are awesome. Very popular among gulf fisherman as they throw topwater poppers to tuna all year long. Great tip action and tons of backbone

I can also vouch for Paul's work, two of my jigging rods came from him. Great quality at a fair price

the MSRP on the production rod is 289 and 299
both spinners are 7'6"
one is rated 40-60
the other 80-100
