Thanks GMAN Some guy said he wouldn't go longer than7' for spinning, now I do not get that. The fish are not on the surface but for a few seconds , so I would want a rod that I could reach out and touch someone I use a 8' casting for Albies. That high end rod is 8'3" now that makes sense.
I would love to drive a Porsche but I have to stick to the
'05 Chevy pick up
One of the charter guys likes the 950 Penn & StCroix 7'6"
That sounds like a Chevy to me but the rod still seems short!!
come back

Yeah its all personal taste I know some guys who swear by the st Croix and Penns and I think thats great. To each there own.

I can cast a plug or swimmer close to 80 yards with ease with those sticks and they are made specifically for targeting large tuna. Some of my fishing partners can cast over 100 yards with the same gear. They work well for me, the power is amazing but you really appreciate them when the tuna are spooky and you can cast to them 75 yards out and hook up.

Hey thanks for that GMAN
Now that rod your talking is it 8', the Zenaq?
If I had the Z rod I wouldn't let any one touch it, I don't charter. The Japanese/Asian fishing gear is FAR superior than US gear there is no doubt on that!!!

Thanks Paul
Ya there has to be stuff between Zanaq and St Croix . The more I look the more I get confused. It is hard to look online and get a "feel" of a rod but the chatter helps loads!
