I wasn't referring to you Brian

1. Zenaq Fooketo 83-5 casting rod paired with a stella 10000FA 65 # braid for tossing medium lures such as Voladors, Shibukis and Baby Runbohs all in teh 3-4 ounce range

2. Carpenter DJ83MH casting rod paired with a Stella 180000HG for larger lures such as Craftbait stickbaits ranging in the 7 ounce weight with 65# braid

These setups have beaten tuna over 57 inches and several Striped Marlin so I am excited to get up there and chase some fish
shouldnt get bashed for using good stuff
how long is the Zenaq?
what is the rating on it

Whats the first on your list, that would make a great thread actually. Stella $500 give or take depending on your model, rod is $500 so around $1,000.

or just wait until someone sells a brand new one for that price like I did

You don't think the high end Japanese stuff is worth it until you fish with it. then you won't want to go back.

It depends on the outfit you searched the Zenaq combo is less expensive as the 2007 Stellas are only $699 (but I bought mine for 4550) and the Zenaq rod is $550 bought domestically. The 2008 stellas from Japan are much more expensive along with the Carpenter which I bought at a steal

Spinning - I would strongly suggest the Shimano Saragosa 18000 its about $300 dollars with an OTI rod from Paul in the 60-80 class

Conventional - You have many choices, toriums, saltigas, accurates the list could go on and on
