Tuna Jigging Sessions of Mohigan Sun Canyon Runner Seminars on April 10

Bluefin jigging has been geat almost two months out of Oregon Inlet/Hatterar, NC.
As you read, they even caught 550-600 lbs giant on a jig with 12 oz jigging rods recently. If Greg, angler didn't use currently available new jigging info, Otherwise he could land the fish as any small mistake or weakness can be exploited by the giant.

As I said many times, jiggging techiques are evolving as well as jigging tackles. Who would think 12 oz light jigging rods can handle 100" giant. Who would think 3/0 size reel could handle 100" giant.
Even I cover the same subject at the seminar as last years' I learned many new things last season and I'd like to discuss with you at the jigging sessions. We could see bigger bluefin out of southern NJ/Delaware/Maryland/Virginia as well as Cape Cod this year. If I have enough time, I'd like to cover tuna popping too as it becomes very popular recently and I'd like to share my mistakes I made last season fishing 24 times in Cape Cod and 4 times in Panama.
    See you there, guys.

The next bite on a jig.
I have not deep jigged for very long in comparison, since my misspent youth was trolling weedlines

But in the past few years, I have seen great leaps in technology, availability of products and techniques. My own jigs have gotten 10 times better and there are still things that I want to improve.

When I started, I looked around for folks to show me the way. Today, what we were using just a few years ago, is old technology. The only thing that has stayed the same is the reef itself.

It is good to always talk about things and to explore the possibility of ideas. I try not to say people are wrong, but always try to offer my experience, even if it is different.

Kil: Another fantastic job at the Canyon Runner Seminar. You're both entertaining and very informative.

Thanks for bringing all those toys and letting us play with them too. I'm really in love with the Cape Cod Special.
