Travel jigging rods

What do you all do when you bring your jigging rods on a trip? Is there such a thing as a good spinning/jig rod that comes 2-piece? Checking rods is always so stressful for me...wondering if they're going to come out whole....or if they're going to come out at all

I've travelled with rods a number of times. I think Orvis makes a plastic expandable rod tube that works fairly well, but the best and cheapest solution I've found is a section of 4" PVC with an end cap glued to one end, and a screw in Cleanout port on the other end. you can put a hasp on it to make it lockable.

Wrap the rods with bubble wrap on both ends so they can't wobble in the case.

I prefer pelican cases (or the generic ones) for the reels.

what size rods are you taking
alot of guys are having to pay for oversize tubes
or there is a size limit
the popping rods are usually 7'6" or longer
