Steve, it would have been great if I had went AJ jiggign with you on Saturday, but I had to come back on Friday.
I guide international anglers for AJ jigging out of NC and bluefin jigging out of NJ for filming next early July. NC is getting known for monster AJ internationally. It could rival to kingfish(yellowtail) jigging in NZ and samson fish jigging in Australia.

I will check out your website.

    Hi Andy,
When I talked with Ben Secrest of Accurate, we eventually talked about you.
I am looking forward to fishing with you again for jigging trophy halibut. My friends are still talking about great halibut fishing with you near Montague Island. I heard there are not many big halibut there anymore.

I got the idea to open a jigging and popping specialty shop as a retiment plan while I was driving alone to NC. ( I drove down to NC from NJ 12 times this year just for grouper and AJ jigging. )

Once I opened my shop, I realize how much fun it is, not because I make a money, but because it is a kind of extention of my fishing adventures. I search around to find ultimate jigs and poppers for a specific game fish to introduce to other fishermen. I spent 6 hours with a jig maker in NY yesterday to discuss about custom jigs for me.

Sounds like you have been busy. Ben and I fished Panama together and had a blast. I have been using the new Accurate jigging rods and them seem to be very durable.

Halibut fishing in Seward is still very productive. June is really the best month to see the kind of fishing you expereinced a few years ago. Middleton is better in July. It can be difficult to get through the Yelloweyes and Lingcod to the halibut when jigging at Middleton but they are there. Big ones! We even had alogn range trip August 16th last year and found a bite like you saw on the backside of Montague. Caught maybe 15 over 100 pounds.

Your website will not take my zip code for shipping. I will send you an email and get some of the Octo jigs. They will be good. The Halibut at Montague are packed with baby Octopus in May and June.

Good luck with the new business!!
