I'm new to jigging for tuna, my first set up was an Avet Lx 6with a Penn Torque 3080 jigging rod, though I landed the fish a blue fin about 60 lbs, it held up but kicked my ass.

I have researched this forum for the past month or so and have learned a great deal about the sport, from selecting a reel, rod, line, knots, etc etc.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank several key contributors and others for all their knowledge and help.

i really enjoy having alot of different blanks and rods for guys to try.

with all the hype and promotion of jigging stuff.
being able to feel the stuff and make a good judgement is important.

These guys are all incredibly helpful. I'm just getting into the popping thing, but the guys here go out of their way to help or give any advice.
