    SWS Blackfin or Bust article

Check out the Jan 2010 issue of Saltwater Sportsman for the article titled Blackfin or Bust by Ric Burnley. The seas were quite sporty that 1st day of February 2009. We were about 30miles out in the Gulfstream jigging for blackfin on the boat Good Times piloted by Capt Andy Piland out of Hatteras, NC. It was kinda cool to see our picture on page 31. That is me on the far left looking down at my bent rod. That was my first offshore jigging trip. Since then I've acquired 2 Travalas, a 5' 8" with a Saltist 40 and a 6'6" with a Saragosa 18000 both spooled w/80# braid.
Looking forward to doing it again in 2010!
(my pic to the left is of one of the AJs we caught that day)

The next bite on a jig.
PRetty work Timber. Congrats on the article. After this past year, I'm a little gun shy of writers and magazines.

I like the real time of the net and being able to write for myself.

Feb. in Hatteras is not for the weak. Thats for sure.

Thanks Jim. It was a lot of fun. As a part-time freelance outdoor writer, I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean.
BTW, I made a small order with your company today.

Thanks for your reply Paul. As you know, jigging has become very popular.
