    Swivels with solid rings?

I'm changing my collection of jigs so they all have swivels to prevent line twisting, etc... This pic is from Gman's thread "Into to jigging"(which by the way, is so much help, kudos!) So far I have: Large swivel -> split ring -> jig; and have the stinger hook on the bottom of the swivel, and my line connected to the top...But where abouts do you get swivels with the solid ring built in, like the one in the pic? Those would be so much more convienient.

    Any tips/suggestions? Thanks in advance!

you can just buy ball bearing swivels and connect them to a split ring then thread the assist hook on the swivel loop.

honestly though i dont think ball bearing swivels are necessary. i have some and have normal swivels and both seem to do the job.

Thats what I normally do Bret, I was just wondering if ball bearing swivels come with solid rings or not. I still prefer the ball bearing type - I get the impression they work a lot better but in all honesty, I never used the other type. I guess if you say that it make no difference, then it probably doesn't

i mean, i would say try it. for me i havent noticed a difference, but maybe i just didnt pay close attention. ball bearing swivels are great, just a bit more expensive than their counterparts

most swivels or 99% of them do not come with solid rings attached. I chose that Hammerhead one because I felt it gave me more length of metal which helped protect me from bite offs as every once of metal counts.

However with that said normally I am using regular owner 300# swivels to a large 300# split ring

those are nice swivels.......they look expensive but in reality it includes the split ring so its not bad.
