Swell Rider Sportfishing..NC Bottom Fishing Report..8/16

God I love Bottom Fishing.. Had a great group of Jersey Boys out today. Ran off to some live bottom that I've fished in the past and it was sitting just how I left it...The reels were barely engauged and we had 3 on.. Itr was a real mixed bag spot. Red Grouper, Big Triggerfish, porgy's and Vermillion Snapper. It was non stop until the tide turned. Made a couple more moves in the area and found the same results, fish after fish... Started in around 3 and was greated by 2 nice water spouts and a ton of rain as soon as we hit the inlet... Have the same group again tomorrow so we'll be hunting Gags and AJ'S. It's shaping up to be a great fall, hopefully the storms stay away.. Ken

I've been using nothing but Hammered diamond Jigs for the grouper and the rest of the bottomfish. They work just as good if not better than alot of the high priced jigs on the market. I'll use that $3 jig all day long. Unless your willing to donate a few jigs for the cause. LOL Ken
