I have lost a couple jigs to the fish shaking their heads and causing the jig to work it's self off the ring.

Best Catch: The next bite on a jig.
I just realized I made a mistake in an earlier post. When in need of a heavy split ring to attach a hook, I use the #8 Spro Heavy Power Rings rated at 255lbs, not the owners. Not that there is anything wrong with the owners, I just use the Spro's.

I think I was looking at the sizes and didn't pay attention to the name. I'm sure they are both fine.

It might also have to do with the size of the jigs you use, I mostly fish 4-6 oz jigs for tuna. I never lost a jig yet. I'm also not using the cheapest split rings out there, just not my spro's.
