The next bite on a jig.
It was a 1/2" longer than the state record, just a few inches short on girth.

    Absolutely amazing.
Whats the thought on the bonita? Did it eat the jig first or come by and tangle w a run a way freight train?

Absolutely amazing. I love the smaller sardines for dancing over shallower bottoms (under 80 feet). They dance better than any jig I have seen yet.

The food chain at its finest. The bonita ate the jig, then the jack ate both. It pushed the bonita up the line like a crappie minnow and the jig hook hung the big jack right in the corner of the mouth.

It was the 6050 I believe...the 250g blank that I shortened from the tip to make it about a 300g rod.
