    Shimano Flat sided Jiggin Rocks

We just got Shomano's flat sided jigs in stock at Capt Tates. So me and Capt Frank set out to test them in Hereford inlet. I was using th 7 ft med light Trevala rod with 14 T reel 30 lb power pro and 35 seaguar premiumn leader. The jig was the bunker colored one. Frank was using traditional jigs and bucktails [he also tried to cheat using fishbites]. First drop started the rythm boom fish on, blue fish 2nd drop blue fish by the tenth one, Franks gettin P O'd. seems on every drift I'm gettin hammered on the drop on the retrieve. Finally tally was Jiggin system 40+ fish Frank 2 fish. This was my first test with this system and it rocked. I can't wait to try it on bass and tuna. Anyone in South Jersey interested in trying this system out, I am starting a loaner system. First trip out you buy the jigs. I supply one set up Rod and reel. Currently I have the rod and reel available for the 4 and 5 oz jigs. Interested call Tim at Capt Tates (609) 861 4001. Thanks Tim

I have been using the flat sided jigs alot lately and they are awesome. So far I have caught grouper, mahi, king mackerel, ajs, tuna, and assorted other bottom critters. I think they work a little better than the original butterfly jigs.

Parker, they work on stripers. My buddies been smokin them on stripers. I've found you get the best action in water 30 ft and deeper. I'm in Dennisville NJ Cape May County (609) 861 4001. Thanks Tim

    Jigs - experimental

Always try a selection of jig shapes AND rod action/jig speeds.
Some days one style and jig speed with out gun everything else, on another you'll get skunked.
Williamson Benthos are great up and down, fast or short jerk, but hopeless on a fast drift, their Abyess are bril on a drift, no retrieve just slow up and fast back with the rod action.

Just the experiences of a humble jigger with no commercial conections.
