Sato Crimps

Has anyone used the Sato Crimp for top shots or wind ons ?
Any thoughts, heard from a few guys that they had a few break offs.
Just curious, still like my loop to loop.

I know some guys who tried using them out west on long range trips but didnt have great success. I would say most are using wind ons or pr knots or connecting mainline to leader

We have hundreds of Basil's top shots on the rig I fish on and use them often with a Bimini.....with that said, we also use the Sato system equally and have the same success........pulled on lots and lots of tuna......

Some of the biggest hitters in the LR community use the Sato system as well.......I was introduced by Dave Choate.

If you want to test both systems like I have, take a bimini w/ Basil top shot and tie it to the bumper of a truck and pull on it. Then, test the Sato system the same way and share your results......
