I think the Sustain would be a better popping reel with a 5.7:1 Gear Ratio. You'll get tired, quicker if you use it for jigging IMO and have less torque/power when reeling in a fish.

    I'm good with 4.6:1 or 4.9:1

I believe the Ocea Jigger 4000P is 4.0:1

Well, a lot of the older Accurates (non "X" models) are also 4.0:1 so I'm sure the lower gear ratio would be great for jigging as well. Just need to swap handles

I like my Saragosa 18000F so far with the modified Carbontex Drag Washers and Cal's grease. I'm going to give it a real good test in about 10 days so we'll see if it has any give on them AJs in NC However, I would also prefer a smaller reel for my 300g rod like a Stella 8000 (gear ratio of 5.0:1) and my Saragosa 18000 for my 500g rod. So far, I've only used the Saragosa on the 300g rod and although I feel very confident with that setup, I feel like a lighter reel would make it more fun of an experience on the 300g rod
