    Saltiga Jigging rods

I was at the local rod and reel shop fondling their wares, and was thinking of picking up one of the Daiwa jigging rods. The one I was paticularly interested in is the 5'-11" heavy rod rated for 270-330 gm jigs. I was thinking mated to an avet LX 4.6:1 it would make a nice combo.

Saltiga is an excellent budget jigging rod. I have several that I still use occasionally.

They aren't something you want to chase bluefins or really big AJs with, but for the general population of fish, they are great.

    The one that got away!
Great production rod for the money!

I have used several for everything from speed jigging to bottom bait fishing. Good luck breaking one too!! Really tough!

I snapped this picture a while back. I had to cut 1/4" off the butt of one to install a rubber gimbal. Check it out.

We landed a 163 lbs bluefin on a Labo jig with Saltiga 270 - 330g spinning rod out of Hatteras today.

kil thats a good rod. i have 3 of them. all were stripped down and rebuilt with Fuji Sic guides. Great rod, over the other 'big' brand. if people would see through the butterfly propaganda they'll find high production quality for the money
