RODBUILDERS ARE NOT ALL GEEKS. COMING SOON TO THE RODBUILDING SECTION!!!

NO! We don't just sit around with compasses, calipur's, rulers or any other tools! We are fishermen, just like each and every one of you.
Truth be told, we are just eaten up with the art of rodbuilding and our passion to build can not be satiated.
Starting next month, I am excited to announce that Angler's Envy Custom Rods will be
broadcasting video's of what we do! From start to finish, you the user will be able to see what goes on behind the lathe and exactly how the instruments that you fish are actually built!
It will be your opportunity to see firsthand and actually post up questions and I will get on here nightly and answer those questions.
Because the process takes a lot of hours, I will post up a segment each week and it can be discussed (hopefully not argued) and all of your questions will be answered!
The video's will show every step from pulling the blank out of the wrapper, all the way through to putting it in plastic to ship to the customers!
The first build that will be featured will be 50 class standups for one of my customers on the Gulf Coast!
What I also plan on doing with each build is contacting the person or people that are buying these rods and if they are not a member, telling them to sign up and they can watch along and answer any questions that you may have for them!

It should hopefully be fun, informative and a great way o add members to the SFC family!!!

SO, STAY TUNED AND CHECK IN WITH THE RODBUILDING FORUM AND TAKE A LOOK! WE WILL BE STARTING THIS ON MONDAY JANUARY 4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very cool, even some of us that have been doing it for a short time will certainly learn a lot from this!

Keep checking back. So far we have done blank anatomy, blank layout, blank cutting, grip installation. Coming up, properly spining a blank, guidefoot preparation, underwraps and their importance to blank longevity, wrapping butt wraps my way, guide installation, trim tabs and then labels and finish.

Up next I will be making a gaff custom for my customer, building a Seeker Hercules Jigging rod that is painted and customized, a spec rod with custom graphite handles, a 130 class for Hawii YFT's and B. Marlin that promises to be one of my best yet with regards to components..... I could (and will) go on and on.

Its kinda fun. It slowes me down a bit but the converations and knowledge that I am throwing out there is beneficial to the SFC family. Hopefully anyway.

    Kevin
