    Rod Rating

Do you guys think a rod rated at 250g-325g is to heavy for ne seabassing that usally requires jigs in the 6-8oz.range (175g-250g)?

    what rod is it?

for seabass jigging i like to use a longer rod with a stiffer tip.
i have been playing with a new blank rated for jigs about 3-8oz
    they are 7'10" long.
    and good for 20-40# line

guys can catch seabass on most any size rod.
    they are pretty aggressive.

that rod should be ok for a start.
what reel you going to use?
