    Riley Rod 200 gm

Here are some poor quality pics of my new 200 gm 6'00" Riley Rod. The other pic is a 400 gm 4'10" Barefoot, both dead lifting a 20# barbell. Thought you guys might be interested:

That 200g gram rod will work a 160g Katana like there is no tomorrow. Steve and I were just talking about that match up last night.

I caught my first grouper on the rod a couple weeks ago on a 160 gm Potroast Katana. I think the rod is perfect for our grouper fishery in NC. It has a sensitive tip for the lighter jigs but plenty of backbone to get them out of a hole.

Nice looking rod! Do you happen to know what kind of reel seat that is?

the one on my riley is a triangular ALPS i think the round ones might be the same, not 100% though as mike has all kinds of stuff around his garage. go to http://www.rileyrods.com

the ones he sells are what he puts on the rods.

Sweet looking rod!!! I can't wait to place my order.

    Jim,

I am planning to get the 400g 4'10" Riley Rod and your Katana Jig package. Will the 160g Katana work well with that rod?

    Thanks,
    Ty

The offshore pack would be a better fit. I'll shoot you an email.

The reel seat is the one on the website...not the triangular one. Titanium color. The reel keep is the one that comes with the Daiwa Saltiga.
