Is this rig for speed/vertical jigging?

http://www.captharry.com/product/Rod.../Rod/1324.html

Seems like a great price. Any good for jigging? Any thoughts?

Best Catch: The next bite on a jig.
Probably just fine, especially for an entry level combo.

Another option that I would gaurantee your satisfaction with would be a saltist with carbontex upgrade and a budget spiral wrapped rod from paul. Should land somewhere close to the same money.

I agree with SeaDraggin. I think you would be better off with a saltist and a budget rod from JPR Paul. The sx combo won't have enough drag for most jigging applications. Depends on your target and depth of the water as to what size you need, but there are plenty of good options in that range.
