Which reel to get?

I was wondering which reel I should choose for Jigging off Delaware And Maryland coast from 20 fathoms to 40 fathoms for tuna.I don't get out alot only once or twice a year.I was going to get a saltist but was not sure which size to get.Should I get the 30,40 or 50 ?Also should I get the 6.4.1 gear ratio or 4.9.1 gear ratio? I am no pro but i like the saltist 30 which is nice.. i also use the higher and lower ratio depending on the jigging.. i like the 4/9:1... the higher is nice but sometimes i feel it is to fast for BIG fish!

get the one that holds enough line for your uses
probably the 40 would work
get the lower gear
it will be ALOT easier to crank

always select the "tallest" reel with the right amount of line capacity. Tall reels = bigger drags. From memory, the ST30 is a shorter reel than the 40, so I'd go for the 40 or even the 30T with 4.9:1 gears.
