question regarding of reel back up decision

    Hello Everyone,

Currently, i own 18K (popping, current jigging backup) & 20K SW for mainly jigging..However, i am coming to a decision that i want to somehow have an third back up in low gear ratio. i got three options here that i don't even know which one should go for, please advise for the solution if you are in the same boat.... what would you do? thank you guys..

    option 1. spare 20KSW spool.
option 2. maybe bump into a good deal on 20ksw or FA(hope fa is as good as the sw).
    option 3. give daiwa saltiga z 6000 a try..

I'm just going to get a Saragosa for my backup reel. Less than $300.00 and should work out until the Stella can be fixed or replaced.

I can only comment on #3. The expedition is great and comes with a handle upgrade.

If gman doesn't comment on these questions, then send him a pm. He uses the stellas a lot.

To answer your question, the Fa isn't quite the reel that the SW is or they wouldn't charge a third again as much and the Saltiga is also a great reel. You have to decide if you want one as a backup.

May as well just buy another Stella for that price?
