    Question for Jim(Sea Draggin)

    Jim,

I stopped by a bait shop and picked up a few more jigs of yours. I have what is probably a stupid question but here it goes. This new jig i picked up has a loop on either end. What are they for? I assume I hook my line to the top loop.

i have two of those, and played around with them this past weekend. I didn't catch anything but i attribute that more to where and who i was fishing with, and my inexperience with the jig than the jig itself. I attached my line to the top ring, and when jigged upward the thing vibrated INTENSELY on the upstroke and fluttered in a circle on the down stroke.

Will be interesting to hear what Jim has to say, and any tips on using these jigs to target sea bass would be great!

The next bite on a jig.
Just tie to the solid ring on top. most of the time i fish them with heavier hooks that I swap out, because they have been awesome on AP's. You can yo-yo or speed jig them.

What size do you like for AP's? I got the smallest ones to try for bass......

Yes the smaller ones for bass is just right. I tested them with patrick up in hatteras when deciding to carry them and that was what I used.

For ap mostly I used 200g, the middle size, in 150 feet of water.

So I have to go back and get the 200g model instead of the 300 g model for AP's? I hope to do some jigging this year and I have a bunch of virgin jigs to go with the virgin rod and reel

Depends, Do you have a 300g rod or a 200g rod? Match you jig/rod combo to the depth you are fishing, but the jig has to load the rod.

Just take your golf bag and load it up with your various weights of rod/jig and you'll be good to go - Need a full set from 50g - 500g and matching jigs

Damn Fred then I will have to empty all my clubs, beer cooler sleeve, and chain saw out of my golf bag. I always thought golf was expensive but I think saltwater fishing has it beat. I would hate to think what the costs would be if I owned a boat.
