    Question about my setup

I am gonna try jiggin for the first time this coming weekend. So far I have two reels. First is a penn gs 555 (overhand) and sencond a Okuma salina SA-80 (spinning) reel and a 6' graphite med action spinning rod and a 6.5' graphite conventional rod (med action). I plan on jigging 450'-100' over reefs mostly targeting grouper, snapper and dogtooths and hopefully get a couple lucky wahoos. Would butterfly jigs be the best way to go. Also is my rod/reel setups good for jigging? Both reels are spooled with 50#braid with a short topshot of mono (less than 50ft)

They're not real stiff. I think they're composite rods.
