Have you looked at the Tica Taurus? I don't have one but am planning on getting one soon.

Hey dude, just a bit of a warning, and take it for what it's worth (probably very little). I bought a Tica Tauras about 4 or 5 years ago, and within the first season it had completely seized up. I take really good care of my gear, so I was surprised to say the least. I brought it back to the store and they replaced it, saying that the rep had told them they had changed a material or something and that the problem was fixed. Well, before the end of the second season it was completely siezed up again. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something, but I know one thing- I'll never buy another Tica again. Again, take it for what it's worth.

Check the weight on the Quantums. From what I remember they may be a little heavier than the Shimano. I went through the same thing and bought the Saragosa and I'm happy with it. I could never buy any Quantum product after watching Shaw Grigsby's 30 minute Quantum advertisement called a fishing show. Sounds like they are great reels from the responses on this thread.

Thats too true. I like his show but I turn the volume down. I also like that "every season starts at Dick's".

The Cabos that have been on my boat were OK for occasional use. I would recommend Saltiga, Saragossa and Stella for every weekend use.
