I got my PR not bobbin from Orvis...$3.50..
    Nice looking gadget tho.
I've been wondering if it would be a good ideal to tie several leaders with pr knots on one end and then a bimini twist on the other end..kind of like a wind on leader. That way if you got broke off all you would have to do is loop to loop connection.
It would go in this order..braid main line--bimini twist-loop to loop--bimini twist--braid to pr ---leader.

This would keep you from having to tie a pr while out to sea.

I'll probably be linched for saying this, but if my PR knot pops while I'm at sea... I've had no knot failures with a uni-to-uni knot when I need to retie in a pinch.

A violation of the sanctity of the PR knot. How dare you.

    Haaa haaaa! Just kidding.

I can't tie them, but have had perfect success with windons. Slim Beauty as a backup.
