Great pictures and story man. I'd say the camera takes super pictures. It would be hard to come back after a trip like that, that place is too pretty! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jersey,
This is some pretty cool stuff you got there on the DR. I see you're using a medium-light spinning outfit for the shore fishing. Well I'm now thinking about bringing mine there this January as well as my muskie rod. The resort where I'll be staying has kayaks the guests can use for free and I'll likely be using one for the fishing. My group and I will be staying at a town called Juan Dolio. I understand there is a fishing village called Guyacanes close by. That one small barracuda has a frame just like our Northern Ontario pike and muskie. As for the other fishes some are pretty strange-looking but then too, this will be my first time venturing into saltwater. I'll be back to tell you all about it. Tight lines! |

) while I was there and it was a lot of fun on such light tackle. Yea, those juvenile Barracudas are like the Chain Pickerel I catch up in Northern New Jersey. Tons of fun and jumpers ![]() Keep an open-mind and you'll have fun no matter what. Try and get some Berkley Gulp! and even some raw shrimp from your hotel when you get there and your lines will be tight all day. Also keep you eyes peeled on the water at all times because you never know what's around or what might be swimming behind your caught fish. There are always big fishies eating little fishies ![]()
