    Pensacola 10/9 & Daulphin 10/10 - Snappa Snappa

I cruised down to P-cola on Friday evening. Not feeling the best with a good case of bronchitis setting in, but couldn't pass up the 0-1 feet every 3 seconds forecast. I took up J-jam on the kind offer to fish on his Wellcraft on Saturday morning, along with Chris and his dad Dan.

Stop 1 - produced Snappers and maybe an almaco, along with white snappers and triggers.
Stop 2 - more of the same along with some scamps
    Stop 3 - Blueline tilefish
    Stop 4 - Mongo mingos
Stop 5 - Finished off our snapper limit

Jimmy aka jjam with a nice box of fish

    ------------------------------------------------------------

I left P-cola on Saturday evening and jogged over to Dauphin Island Alabama to meet up with Doug and Jason. They also picked up an extra crewman, George our inn keeper.

We started out later in morning after eating Georges spread of eggs, pancakes, grits, bacon, biscuits, coffee and juice.

We had good results on red snappers right off the bat on Aki Jigs and bait.

We finished off the day casting to inshore spanish and bonitas. Of course, I hooked a small shark that tried to get the best of me and Doug while trying to get my Flitz back.

Nice Jim! Those sharks can be stingy with the lures sometimes. I hooked a ~200# shark on a shibuki last trip out and I tried 3 times to get it back but it just pissed him off and he took off another 50-75 yards each time. Last time we just let him have the lure and cut the leader. Losing a Shibuki is better than a finger

That is my little 7' setup for small boat gulf fishing. Hoping to break in the black devil in venice in two weeks, which might be my last trip for a while. You know the story which indeed went down.
