    My spiral jigger you built me on the 200g riley blank is mint. I will be abusing the hell out of that one this summer.

    It works a 160g jig like there is no tomorrow. Pure joy. I got bit by a big fish last weekend on it. From the pull, I would estimate in the 300lb range and most likely a shark (species undermined) But it bit off before we could get a look. The bite was great for the 30 seconds it lasted.

    The fish bit close to the bottom in 200ft water, shot straight to the top, did a 180. Shot straight back to the bottom, turned left and headed for Africa. There was nothing I could do with it yet, before it bit off.

    I would not want to guess the species, but I will say that I have a vast amount of respect for any fish that can move the way that one did.

    They are extremely strong creatures. I hate when they eat a jig because I feel I have to try and get it back.

    Paul's computer shit the bead. It died about last Wednesday or so. I was at his house to pick up a shipment of blanks and grips and he was on the phone with Dell trying to get it fixed but was getting the runaround.

    He should be back soon.
