I've got some jigs that I bought a while back and are colors that don't seen to produce. Was thinking about painting them with some glow and other colors that seem to work better here. Anyone try this?

I paint a lot of my jigs...... most of them just just black stripes or completely back. use 4 or 5 clear coats and the colours will last for a long time
Krylon color and clear coat.

Is there a good glow paint available?
Do you sand them down at all prior to painting?
I give them a light sand with 200 wet and dry if I am only masking over the original colours otherwise sand the whole thing back and primer it for a better lasting paint job...... Mind you "better lasting paint job" and fish that eat jigs don't go too well together
I use a 2pac polyurethane and usually do 6-10 coats to really make them shine and protect the paint.
Mag wheel polyurethane in a spray can also works but doesnt get the finish of the 2pac but still works well.
Lumo paint is usually quite expensive and quite gluggy. fish like black![]()
If you can find pictures of jigs painted by Jimi from Kapiti here in NZ he is the guru at painting them......
