    PR vs FG Knot

Anybody using the FG knot? Fairly easy to tie, but I only see a lot of talk about the PR knot. They appear somewhat simialr, but I have not had a chance to test either one yet. New to the forum and this type of fishing, so I am just asking a lot of questions and relying on those of you with some hands on experience. Thanks for your input!

In my testing the FG and PR were equally strong and IMHO the FG was easier to tie because a bobbin is not needed. I used the FG exclusively on the last couple of trips and will continue to use it.

The next bite on a jig.
There looks like a lot of different ways to tie it on line. I watched 4 videos and it got tied 4 different ways?

i use the FG when I don't have my bobbin with me... and also during bust-off in a boat.

it's a quick knot to tie.. and strong too..

This FG or AG is so strong and simple to tie. Thanks for sharing.

The knot is very slim to pass through guides much better than Bimini with reverse Albright.

PR knot is the best for jigging & popping. I fish 20-30 times per year and always use it. It can be tied in under two minuets on a pitching boat with practice.

For solid braid to mono, I use use short segments of hollow braid.

Feed the solid braid in for two inches and tie a simple half hitch and do a cuff splice to the mono. Gives you a very clean wind on.

Has to be tied at home. Lot faster than the video.
