    mike just sent me the dry fit pictures of my custom RILEY ROD. i told him to glue away. cant wait to bend this thing

    It took me a while to figure this one out, but I think I have it.

    One front grip section is for jigging and the other is for fighting?

    Love to see pics of both.

    That was my guess as well. I thought about doing that on my spinner I am building now, but decided against it. I wouldn't have used it and no need to have it if I don't use it.

    Its nice when a rod performs great and looks great too! Congrats Mark! btw, what weight blank are you having built again?

    Mark - gave it a couple more blings and its heading to the wrapper.

    The split foregrip is to let the blank bend the way it wants to. The NuSkin on a Hard Core grip is killer but to long of a section shuts down the rod quicker. Kind of building them modular. All sections are are bonded independently to allow full flex right to the butt.

    Its all about the bend.

    i think it was a 250 that was cut down to about 5'6" or so. i am sure mike can chime in a tell you exactly what the blank is.
