    New Reel New Problems

    Well I bought a brand new fin-nor OFC 16L for my new jigging setup. Set the drag today and noticed the drag is jumpy. Also I played around with it and noticed that the free spool sucks. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix these issues or should I just send it back to fin-nor.

    Your drag is jumpy because there is oil on your drag washers. You can either A - crack open the reel and clean the drag stack to make sure all your washers are dry. or B - Get carbontex. Saltiga 30T size drag washers fit that reel.

    Mine did not have a great free spool either. After a few trips, it got better. I would put a call in to Fin-Nor just to see what they say. Some OFC's I have seen have great free spool, mine and another I played with didn't.
