    Question new jigging rod

    just got a 7 ft 700h calstar graphiter on e-bay for jigging for cod 30-80lbs
    anybody got any thoughts on the rod, i am pairing it with a saltist 50 did i make a good choice???

    I cut down a 800H (same thing, but 1' longer in the butt) down to 6'6" and made a tuna jigging rod in a spiral wrap. Love this sucker! Completed rod with Aluminum gimbal weights 16oz.

    33# dumbell dead lift:


    Pulling around 20-24# of drag IIRC:


    I also did a 800M trimmed 12" from the butt to basically a 700M for Cod in New England for a guy!

    Nice, light, strong rods!! Saltist 40 or 50 are nice reels, just be aware of the anti reverse slipping at around 15# or so! Same with the Toriums as well. Nice reels ( I own Saltist and Saltiga 40's), but just be aware of the limitations! Great matches for the Grafighters!
