Just built this gal as my dad's Christmas present. I sure hope he likes it. I had to secretly talk to him about he likes and wanted in a new rod without giving up his gift. I'm no professional, by any means, but I am pretty proud of this one.

Thanks Jim! I looked back at the first rod I did back in January/February and its a world of difference. I'm thinking about stripping the older ones and doing them over...but then I wouldn't have that memory sitting in the corner.

I still have my Jaws blank. You just make it into a popping rod for me and save the trouble of stripping the old stuff.

I could do that. I really wouldn't want to strip my first rod anyways. It makes a great bottom rod, but not my style for jigging.

oh, and that sounds like a reason for us to fish together at least twice in the next few months too! I hear a 100lb+ AJ calling our names
