need help choosing a jigging rod

I have a new daiwa 50 Saltiga 2sp. I now need a rod. I will be using this between Virginia waters and HI. AJ action in VA and what ever I can jig up out of OI or HI. I need a suggestion on a rod. I see the OTI rods have good reviews, but I have no idea what size to go with. I'm leaning for something in the 200 to 300 gram size, but don't really have a clue what to get. Any help would be great.

    Best Catch
The next bite on a jig.
The oti's are fine and there are some good deals around on old gen rods, but a budget spiral from JPR would be a good step up for a conventional, especially one that size. If you stick with it, you will be downsizing that reel soon is my guess.

Why do you say I will be downsizing the reel? I have to Saltiga 30's as well. Just curious about that comment???

alot of guys like a thinner reel for jigging.
The 50 is slightly wider than a "normal" jigging reel.

I had the 30T and 50 saltiga, liked them both.
but i dont mind the wide reels that much.

    But, thin is nice
