Remember, if you are going to be jigging don't short yourself on the quality of the reel. Don't get me wrong, Okuma makes great fishing reels but I don't think they are even comparable to some Shimano reels such as the Saragosa. If you are looking for a spinning reel that is relatively economical but at the same time you're not giving up quality, then look into the Shimano Saragosa! The 14000 and 18000 models are putting out up to 44lbs of drag and the some of the smaller 8000 models are getting up to 27lbs of drag. These reels are designed for jigging with durability in mind.

These reels are made with a lot of the same componentry as the Stella's. I know they are pushing $300, but trust me you are definitely getting more than you pay for with this reel.
Otherwise, another option is the Shimano Spheros which is equally as capable of jigging and getting up to 44lbs of drag on the larger models. The only difference between this reel and the Saragosa are the amount of Ball Bearings and the gearing and frame materials.

I have heard the Spheros is bullet proof and it is very reasonably priced.
I use the Daiwa Opus Bull 5500. Cheap as chips, Instant anti-reverse, metal body, 15 kg drag- what more do you need.
How much drag is the spheros capable of?

I would question the true capability to be 44lbs.? If that is a plastic cap on it, I would see if an upgrade is available.
