The next bite on a jig.

    Name contest winner

The new name for the soft eel jig was submitted by Ty2philly.

It will now be called the "Ayasugi." Cleverly named after the grain pattern or Hada of a Japanese sword.

Thanks Ty. I'll shoot you a PM for your address to send out your prize pack of Jigs, Hooks and Rings!

I hope you guys enjoyed the welcome bags I put together for you. I haven't heard much about it.

I will make sure your prize pack has lots of good Tuna stuff in it. I think the Ayasugi will be just right

Oh they worked out well for me. Those jigs were much needed and greatly appreciated. I did catch a big fat AJ on the flat jig in my gift bag.

As far as tuna stuff go, I only do jigging. I don't hardly ever do trolling.

Thanks again. The gift bag was greatly appreciated.

    Update:
Just booked a Yellowfin Tuna trip with Paul for October 9th.

I really look forward to using these jigs and will be sure to take plenty of photos of the fish caught with these jigs.

Gear being used for this trip:

    Spinning:
Shimano Saragosa 1800 + OTI 7'6" 80# popping rod (will use it jigging style)

    Conventional #1:
Daiwa Ishidai Z40 + rod (to be determined)

    Conventional #2:
Tiburon SST-30 reel + Tsunami Trophy Series Rod 50#-100#

    Conventional #3:
Daiwa Saltist 30T + Barefoot Jigging Rod 300g-400g lure weight

    Ty
