    Question Morehead Amberjack

Guys ... I need some guidance. I have a buddy coming into town... not this coming weekend, but the next and I have promised that I would put him on a reef donkey or two. He is an avid fly fisherman from Montana, so I want to show him the other end of the spectrum

My question is ... it looks like we might have some weather to contend with so how close can we find some AJ's out of Beaufort Inlet. I remember last year they were all over AR330 at some point but I don't remember what time of year it was. I would love to find them in that close so he doesn't have to puke on my boat Also ... if we find them on the near shore Wrecks should I toss some live baits or poppers as opposed to jigs?

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

They have been all over 330, hutton, and 345 over the past month or so. IMO when there is that much structure you will lose more jigs and fish jigging than live baiting or poppers. You may even find some kings and mahi too

    enjoy
